  • 소개 및 적용: Zinc oxide (ZnO) is a versatile compound with numerous applications across various industries. In the rubber industry, ZnO is used as a vulcanization accelerator, anti-aging agent, and reinforcing agent, promoting the vulcanization rate, protecting rubber from fungi and UV light, and enhancing the intensity and thermal conductivity of rubber. In ceramics, ZnO serves as a fluxing agent, lowering the melting point and improving the elasticity of glazes. As a white pigment, ZnO is used in various products such as paints, rubber, oil painting, paper coatings, and mineral makeup. ZnO is also utilized in metal anti-corrosive coatings and plastic coatings, providing anti-solar radiation and anti-oxidation properties, as well as in energy-saving or heat-protecting windows with ZnO:Al coatings that selectively let the visible part of the spectrum in. In nuclear reactors, ZnO helps prevent corrosion and minimize the amount of dissolved materials. It is also used for desulfurization of chemical raw gases, removing hydrogen sulfide through a chemical reaction. In the medical field, ZnO is used to treat various skin conditions, possessing antibacterial properties and serving as an active ingredient in antiseptic ointments, creams, and lotions. It is a component of zinc oxide tape and enhances the antibacterial activity of ciprofloxacin. As an additive, ZnO is a source of zinc in breakfast cereals, prepackaged foods, and animal feed. Other applications of ZnO include cigarette filters, which help remove significant amounts of HCN and H2S from tobacco smoke without affecting its flavor, and in suntan lotion and UV-blocking sunglasses as a key ingredient providing strong protection against UVA and UVB ultraviolet radiation. In agriculture, ZnO is used as a zinc fertilizer, helping to correct zinc deficiency in plants.
